a/c whine help!!

hey guys i just started using my a/c for the first time a few days ago and go a problem.
well i have a leak in the compressor case so as my car sat in the garage for the winter all the jiuce leaked out so i went to walmart and got the good stop leak and a can of r34 and charged it up and its working perfect and hasent leaked out within the last few days.

but now when i turn the ac on i get a whine like a power stearing pump is dieing but as soon as i switch it off it stops.

you guys got and idea's?

and learn from it and run your ac occasionally during the winter

It's probably the clutch bearing. You can just replace the bearing for about 30 bucks. A new four seasons compressor is 250, a delphi is 350. Try the bearing first...
