I guess I missed this earlier, but I've added it to the main Sticky/FAQ of this section.

Great post! I was thinking of doing something like this this spring. Mine don't really leak, but the seals do look worn when I take the tops off. I figure better safe than sorry.

Thank you for this post. I changed my t-top/door weather strips 2 years ago to fix a small leak that had developed from the t-top. Unfortunately I started to realize that after heavy monsoon type rain, it would leak. Now only recently did I discover that my passenger floor panel has been accumulating water somehow and over the last winter, the cushion under the carpet had absorbed a good amount of water--like a sponge--and started rusting out a spot on my floor panel. I have since torn out this portion of soaked cushion and coated the floor panel with rust inhibitor. So I am left suspecting my passenger T-top leak of causing this suspicious moisture problem.
Instead of using RTV, I have used Flex Seal which has proven extremely reliable when fixing a tail light leak problem I had. So hopefully after flex sealing my T-tops where water is most likely to by-pass the weather strip, hopefully I should not find any wet patches on or underneath the carpet. If I do, then I will suspect my degrading windshield weather strip which fails to sit flush against the door weather strip and might be allowing rain water behind my dash panel and underneath the carpet--I hope not!
Thanks again for this post!

Window adjustment mod??? I'm having the same issues over here. Seal is awful and weatherstripping is in bad shape and imI NOT handy or mechanically inclined. But I think the RTV will help and now iI' curious to the window mod. My driver's side window doesn't seal all the way up into the stripping. It's freaking weird because on the driver's side where the t top meets in the front of the window and the window starts to curve down and the seal runs along the windshield the window doesn't seal great and for some reason that seal is flush with the car/windshield. On the passenger side where the window seals great that same piece that runs alkngthe windshield at the top it isn't flush with the car and instead as the stripping comes off of the windshield and starts to get fatter under the t top it is about 1/8 of an inch off of the windshield which provides the perfect seal for the window. The car is in storage I should have taken pictures today but now I'm 30 miles away from it. Does that makes sense to anyone? Thx original poster hopefully the RTV will help.

Here's the discrepancy. The seal on the passenger side comes off of the windshield to seal against the window, the driver's side seal is flush against the windshield and the window doesn't seal properly.
