Default dash pad firebird/Trans am

Are dash pads from 93-97 firebirds interchangeable with 98-02?

Yeah, I don't think the dash changed at all on Pontiacs. Just the steering wheel, gauge cluster, and center console. The color changed from gray (dark gray) to black (darker gray) in 2000, but the piece closest to the windshield was always black to reduce glare. Anyone hear any different?

Edit: the piece closest to the windshield is the same color as the rest of the dash. I was thinking of our old Trans Sport which also had a steep windshield and deep dash with a plastic part at the forward edge. That van had a light gray dash, so the plastic was solid black to reduce glare.

notice the spot near the vent...the rounded one is 1997-2002, the pointed one is 1993-1996...

Ok thanks guess I'll just have to keep looking.

I'm sure that you have purchased one for the newer style and couldn't use it.
