My passenger side mirror on my 98 z28 tilts left and right and down but wont tilt up. driver side works fine. any idea what the issue could be?

Mine are the same way. But my drivers side doesn't tilt toward car

Every now and then mine "drivers side" won't tilt up/down......if I just push the mirror up or down just a tiny movement......it then works fine. Its been doing this for 14 years since the car was new. Most of the time it just works in all directions.....but that does happen sometimes.

Try to move it by pushing it in the direction that it will not work in......you'll hear/feel a zipper sound as it moves.
