Default stuck fuel line

I am trying to remove the intake manifold on my "99 Z28 for knock sensor replacement, and for the life of my I cannot disconnect the fuel line at the intake manifold. Anyone ever have one of these get stuck? I have a 3/8" disconnect tool and the thing will not separate. Anyone had this problem before?

The line that's on the manifold for the evap solenoid has a small white clip on it, just Press down on the clip and the solenoid/ line will pull right off.

As far as the lines that require the small plastic disconnect sleeve, make sure you press the sleeve in as you are pressing the line in,then pull back and it should release

Yes, I've used these types of tools before, but this one is just really stuck. It has never been removed before. I ended up disconnecting the fuel rail from the manifold and leaving the fuel line hooked up. If I ever rebuild the engine I'll probably have to cut the lines are replace everything. I've read that some of the metal disconnect tools work better than the plastic ones. Whatever. I worked around it.

I hate to dig up an old thread but I had the same problem with the fuel line not coming apart even with the plastic 3/8" disconnect tool. It seems it wasn't thick enough to separate the fingers that hold the fitting together inside. I messed around with the plastic tool and wrapping tape around it for at least an hour without any luck.

The only tool I worked to separate the lines was the OEM brand, spring loaded aluminum disconnect tool at Autozone: Part Number: 25150

The 3/8" tool in this kit is the only one that worked. Hopefully this helps someone, I tried almost every disconnect tool available in town and this is the only one that worked.
