Default Lets play guess the wire :)

Picked up a 98 ws6 and trying to track down some problems. Found this wire cut and I have no idea what it goes to...any info?

Its the black wire below the fuse box...kind of hard to make out in the pics. Driver side...

I am having a problem with the abs inop, security, and brake lights in the gauge cluster always being on. Also have a wire that comes down the front of the passenger head kind of charred. It is in a silver heat shield. Looks like just the heat shield is messed up but what does this wire go to? Thanks in advance!!!

Main power to the ABS module. Most likely cut because something else is fucked up.

Just guessing, check and see if it is live and open up the wire casing.

Should I just extend it and run it to the power distribution block or is it a fused wire? When I hook it back up, what should I be looking for? Car seems to brake fine as-is. Guess this is the reason for the lights in the gauge cluster being on...lol. Thanks for the info...

If it's the power to the ABS Module it should be fused.
Hook a voltmeter up to it to see if the wire currently connected to a ground, power source or another device (like the ABS). Opening up the wire casing is your best bet to really track it down though.

Alright, connected it to a 12v source and it kicked on everything like I turned the key forward to accessory, but the key was in my pocket lol. Any ideas?
