I have MSD 8.5mm super conductors with NGK TR55's, the car runs 1000% better than when I was running the stock plugs/wires. WS6store has a combo on there where you get the plugs/wires for about $75, so I would check that out if you're interested.

Taylors are GARBAGE. I bought Taylor 10.4 Thunderbolts like 12 years ago for my bone stock engine. When I pulled them off like a year later (BY THE BOOTS) 5 of 8 broke. The wires just pulled right out of the wires and stayed on the spark plug.

Here's the facts:
You have absolutely no need for any kind of special wire. $36.00 Advance Auto wires are all any LS1 engine needs, whether its bone stock or a 600+ RWHP modded N/A engine. I tried the Taylors on my stock engine, then bought the Advance Auto wires because the Taylors broke. ZERO change in performance, gas mileage, acceleration, etc.....NO CHANGE.
I have them on my 427ci too, 10 years straight. Runs perfect.

Aftermarket wires (for bone stock up to 600+RWHP) are like synthetic oil............WASTE OF MONEY.

If you want aftermarket though.....get the Granitelli wires.....only because they warranty them for life for breakage. Ain't no way in hell they'll increase HP though.....lol
Badass aftermarket wires are meant and needed for serious HIGH HP builds........

I'm serious.....Advance Auto....$36.00. I've had them on my 427ci for almost 10 years. They're perfect. I bought a new set for the hell of it like 6 years ago. So I bought them about 10 years ago, then replaced them all with new ones like 6 years ago. They're cheap, so thats why i swapped them.

But again...the Granitelli's sound good. I'll probably get them with my new engine. I'll keep a few of these Advance Auto wires as spares, then if a Granitelli breaks I'll have something to use until the new one arrives under warranty.

Next door....Ft. Lauderdale.

My next set-up is getting done in Pompano Beach at Lashway Motorsports. The engine itself is being built by Air Flow Technology in Pompano Beach too. Easily the best LSx builder in this country........

I once bought AutoZone wires, granted they are not AdvanceAuto and after install it was great. But a year later i wanted to replace the AutoZone wires and they ripped at the boot. I would not recommend AutoZone plug wires. Can't speak on AdvanceAuto wires.

Go for the MSD's. They make a difference. I have the Taylor 10.4mm wires, and have torn a few of them when taking them off ny the boot. I'll be going with them next time. I had a '78 Z28 with regular Kragen wires, and made the switch to some 8.5mm Jegs wires, and they instantly woke that car up. It was a BIG differnece in power and performance. Just my .02.
