This is for my truck. There is an upper heat shield on the muffler, and it appears to be tack or spot welded to the muffler body itself. The heat shield has broken free of some of those welds, and I can hear it rattling sometimes while driving.

What would be a good way of re-attaching the heat shield? Autozone has a "muffler weld" kit that I was thinking of using, anyone tried this stuff? Or have any other suggestions?

Take it to a shop or a friend with a welder and have them tack it back on? Doesn't have to be in the same spot the stock welds were just as long as it keeps it from rattling
