How do you remove Rearview Mirror
I have a new rearview mirror for my 96, I seriously have tried and cannot get the old one to slide off! I searched a few threads saying to put a screw driver behind the slot and push while pulling the mirror upward. I cannot get it to budge, anyone have any suggestions that doesnt involve breaking a windshield!?

I finally got it. I geus there must be some differences in Mirrors, because everyone says something different. There was a clip that went over the base, used a small screw driver and popped the one side lose and it came right off. I feel stupid it was so easy, haha.

Yes, there was a change to the mirror design in 2001. '00 and earlier cars get a different style mirror (shape is slightly different, as well as the location if the map light switches) from the '01-'02 cars.
The older style mirrors do seem to be a bit more difficult to remove in my experience.
