coolant question
I've been running Dexcool since I bought my 1998 WS6 new......its always 100% clear, clean and zero poop.
But there's nothing wrong with running green......

Another long time, problem free dexcool user. I wouldn't leave any coolant in for 150k miles like GM says you can with dexcool, but as long as it's changed at reasonable invervals and the cooling system isn't leaking or contaminated, you won't have any trouble with dexcool that you wouldn't have with any other coolant.

When gm introduced dexcool, everyone was used to popping the garden hose in the radiator and topping in off...quick lube places were and still are very bad about this.
Once the general public started having problems because of this, everyone and their brother jumped on The warranty bandwagon and dexcool was left plagued with a bad reputation. One that to this day still leaves uneducated people blaming dexcool for their own automotive ignorance...many of which are members of this board.
The puke tank and everything else inside still look perfect. I just put a t stat in it a few months ago and everything down there was perfect as well.
