first, your gonna need to see if youve got freon in the system with a set of manifold gauges. the pressure sensor will not let the compressor turn on if it does not sense pressure (freon) in the system. id start there.

Clutch not kicking on - low pressure switch prevents compressor from activating the clutch
Buy a can of freon that comes with a pressure gauge. Hook the can up to the dryer pressure port and see what the pressure is, it should be around 45psi after letting the system run for a while. Add freon until it is near 45 psi

Still no luck? Compressor not kicking on, the clutch could be bad meaning u need a new compressor

Ac go warm again? If you take it to a shop they will automatically tell you that you need all new ac lines and a new dryer. Expect a $650 bill for ac repair at minimum

If your lucky you will be able to go year to yearmbetween fill ups, unlucky means week to week fill ups and you need new lines

similar issue here...stopped blowing cold...put in some freon...no change...slapped on some gauges...low side reads low and high side reads high...compressor turns on...my buddies dad believes it to be the orifice tube...gonna replace that and maybe and a few other "cheap" parts since everything was installed in 1994...

I'm chasing a AC issue as well. End of last summer I took it to a shop to get charged. I hadnt used it since a year or 2 before when I did my H/C swap. Shop couldnt get a vacuum on it. Found out the top metal tube to the condensor had a broke fitting probably from when I did the H/C swap. So I replaces the orifice tube, top line & got a vac/charge done. Thing blew nice & cold for a few days then was warm again. Looked under the car & saw the green dye seeping from the compressor housing. So I got with the buddy I got the hard line from & he sold me his good compressor for cheap since he removed all his AC. I took it to my buddies shop where we installed it, checked the orifice tube(which was still nice & clean), tossed new gaskets on the compressor connections & finally gave it a vac/fill. Same thing again, worked for a couple days then got warm & now it wont turn on.

I'm taking it back to him soon, we think maybe we didnt vac it down good enough & get enough charge in it. If thats not the case then I have a damn sneaky leak somewhere.
