Default ideas what noise could be?

hey guys, so i have a 2000 z28 and just recently i have this weird noise which is coming from the drivers side of the motor, it sounds like its coming from under the valve cover but basically on cold start it is a noticable ticking that almost sounds like a slaping once the motor drops down in rpms once the motor starts up, then when i start driving the ticking gets louder and there is a slight squeaking/ squealing noise as well. i know its not the regular "sewing machine" sound that these motors are notorious for its something completely new. if it helps i did take my valve covers off 2 weeks ago to paint them but i was very cautious to not get anything on the underside of the cover so i have no clue what it could be. any ideas would be appreciated!!!

You prob have a bad lifter. And the squealing noise is prob the lifter messing up your cam.

If your cam is messed up I have a good one that I will sell you. Its the stock ls1 cam w 30k miles on it. I'll sell cam by itself or with springs push rods and retainers if you want them as spares
