as soon as i start it theres is a ringing sound. idk weather its better described as a ring or a beeeeeeeeeep. it kinda sounds like a heart rate machine when it flat lines. just a constant, real loud, really annoying beep/ring. it does this for about the first 2-3 minutes after i start the car. it doesnt happen everytime tho, id say about half or a little more than half the time. does anyone have any idea what this could be? its been happening since last year

my ac compressor wont even turn on. so i guess i have to get it recharged and this should solve my problem?

If the compressor doesn't turn on because one of the pressure sensors won't allow it then yes, recharging might fix the problem. If the clutch of the compressor is bad then no amount of R-134 is going to help.
How long has your A/C been inop?

well i bought the car last august and it wasnt working when i got it, i dont know how long it hadnt been working for before that.
