Default Knock sensor bank 2 problem

SES light is on and says knock sensor bank 2 has low voltage, probably means it isn't working.

How serious is this and is it easily fixed? The car runs fine and doesn't really knock.

Most likely needs a knock sensor. It's under the intake manifold so you will just need a set of intake gaskets and a new sensor...or if you have the extra cash just replace them both since you will be right there. Also, the connectors get very brittle with heat and age so I would also get a new wire harness too. WS6store sells both.

If you going in there do them both with the updated sensors and wire harness. My tuner turned mine off, not really happy about that.

Thanks guys.
Just to make sure, bank 2 is passenger side in an LS1, right?

That is correct but in this case the knock sensors are oriented front and back. Front being #1 and back being #2.
