Default Can new O2 sensors improve gas mileage?

...just replaced these...and seem to be getting better mileage...

Is this possible?

Yes. your old one could havee been telling the comp to dump to much fuel.

My vette (old crap tech) went from 12mpg to 18 when I changed the O2 from a 2 wire to a 3 heated O2. Gettin the xensor hot enough to read made a big difference

Sure, it's not only possibile but very likely if the old ones had a ton of miles on them.

MPG will slowly deteriorate due to aging O2 sensors long before you will ever see an O2 code. This is probably exaggerated with LT headers that move the front O2s farther down the exhaust stream thus keeping them cooler.
