Loose Steering wheel after header install

Loose Steering wheel after header install After I had my LT's installed I noticed that my steering wheel has about an inch of play. I was told by a fellow fbodier that its in the rack and it can be fixed with an alighnment. Has anyone else had this issue? Will an alighnment solve the issue if it is in the rack? At first it wasnt an issue as i was just excited to finally have an LS1 but now my v6 car feels tighter then my formula which is not good considering it has 160,000 MORE miles..lol

No I had them installed and I asked the tech if he had to drop the k-member and he said he had to "drop the steering" so I dont know exactly what he removed. I started the car with the hood popped and jiggled the steering wheel and thats when my buddy informed me its in the rack. Do you have to remove the rack for a header install?
