Default 98 camaro missing PCM and engine harness, upgrade now or use 98 stuff again?

I'm getting yet another car I don't need but it doesn't have a PCM or the engine harness. What's the best way to go here? Is the newer harness a pain to use? I'm not sure exactly what is missing, he just said the engine harness.

I'd call an F-Body specialty salvage yard and have them hook you up with a full harness. I'm sure they do that all the time.

'98's are different beasts as far as the PCM is concerned. You'd have to re-pin the harness to go into the '99-'02 PCM and there's still no guarantee everything's going to work correctly. When dealing with '98's, the best thing to do with them is to keep everything a '98 IMO.

Yeah, I know that they're different because I have a 98 and a 2000 right now but this new car doesn't have PCM or the harness, so I don't have much to start with.
