Default Steering rack leaking

My LS1 steering rack is leaking, I see repair kits for standard and performance suspension. All I know is that the rack came out of an M6 1999 Z28. Any clue if it should be the standard or performance version?

For what it's worth, my Trans Am power steering whined and the fluid was empty when I bought it. So I figured there was a leak...

Filled the reservoir with Lucas Power Steering Fluid and it stopped the whine and hasn't leaked since (I assumed it had a leak).

my steering rack 'WAS' leaking, turns out it wasn't. The PS pressure hose was 'weeping' which dripped down onto the rack. Bought a rack from rackdr and discovered the weeping hose when I started the rack replacement.

Mine is definetly leaking and just needed to sort out what the difference was with both standard and high performance kits. What possibly this rack can be knowing it came out from a 1999 z28 with m6
