VATS? Ignition issue?

VATS? Ignition issue? Car has been doing fine lately, go to get in it today, turn the key and nothing, no power to dash lights, no SECURITY light, etc. Door chime sounds when key is in ON and the door is open but nothing else. Like a dead battery basically. Tried jumping the car and still nothing. If it's the VATS usually you still get power to everything right? It's just that the security light stays on but no start? The car did this once before and I went back inside to call for a ride one day, then came back out and the damn thing fired right up as usual, no issues since. Till today.
Any ideas/advice?
Guess I could just go ahead with the VATS bypass anyways just get that out of the way? Not sure if it could be a different issue on top of that or not.

Did I mention how much a PITA electrical issues can be? Went through checking everything I could think of with no luck, then happened to move the positive battery cable a littleand what do you know? Bingo, loose connection...glad that was it, but geez!
