NAPA Tru-Flow Water Pumps
Anyone ever have any troubles/issues with these? I just replaced my water pump with one of these last summer and now its leaking again!? Good thing they come with a lifetime warranty...but yeah, doesn't seem normal for a brand new water pump (its not remanufactured) to go bad and it hasn't even been a year?...

I just put one of these in a couple of weeks ago. So far it seems to be working just fine.
I certainly hope there isn't any problems with it. But thanks for the heads up, I will be keeping my receipt and the box everything came in.
Curious, where is yours leaking at? The weep hole or somewhere else?

A water pump should never be a performance item (unless you NEED an electic/high flow, which most people dont). So as long as their part meets or exceeds OEM quality there shouldnt be any issues. Im also curious as to if its the actual pump leaking or the gaskets.

I'm almost thinking of going with an electric one, this is going to be the 3rd time I'm replacing the pump within the past 3 years...something is definitely wrong, do you know of anything else that could cause the WP to go bad so quickly?

i just picked up the napa reman'd pump yesterday. my original after 10 years just starting letting some drops go.
the reman'd pump has a bunch of silt or sand in the ports, like left over from the thing being sandblasted. i wipe my finger in there and it comes out brown.

Bringing this thread back because for the 4th time (yes 4th time, I replaced my water pump last year for the 3rd time and now it is leaking again). I've replaced my water pump now 4 times in the past 5 years with the Napa ones. Either something is wrong with the gasket or the pump itself, I don't know, but to replace it again due to it leaking near the weep hole is pretty ridiculous at this point. Has anyone had any issues with their water pump like I am with mine? I read on a thread here that GM upgraded the gaskets for these but I'm not sure...I'll call the dealer tomorrow and find out.

I;'d stay away from anything from NAPA auto aka CRAPA auto. I've had A lot of poorly made parts from them over the years. Their rotors are the ONLY rotors I ever used that CRACKED in 5 places BOTH frt rotors in less than 500 miles. I could go on and on.........

Yeah I ended up just buying a ACDelco brand from Rock Auto. Good thing is I went and spoke to Napa and they will give me a full refund to return it.

Just bringing this one back to help anyone else, I just replaced mine the other day so far so good, Also when installing a wp in, make sure you use black rtv on the inside of the gaskets and thermostat and then press it in, let it sit for 24 hrs and should be good to go.
