Random/short lopping/miss???

Random/short lopping/miss??? Hey all.
Today as I went through the McD's drive thru, my car started lopping real bad, almost like multiple cylinders shut down. No idea what caused it. I checked all my plug wires and wire boots, and all looked normal. Sometimes it hard starts, but only every now and then. I will be replacing plugs and wires here soon.
Any ideas? Kinda freaked me out.
