Something broke tranny/clutch m6 I went to downshit to 4 to 3rd and the car would not accelrate just starting grinding clunking over lke 2000 rpm. I limped home and every gear shifted ok but could not accelarate much. I have 115k on orginal clutch and the clutch was pretty shot. Is this a clutch problem most likely or a trany. i never had any grinding or any isue except slower acceleration in higher rpm due to sliping clutch. Please help. I explained the best i could. 2000 camaro ss t56.

sounds like a problem in the hydraulic system, since your clutch is already slipping, id go ahead and do the clutch, slave, and upgrade to a tick master cylinder. kinda costly, but worth it. i didnt get too good of a mental picture from your description, but it also might be your syncros
