This is an old thread, so you may not get a reply. You can purchase oversized pins through Unbalanced Engineering. I am not sure if they are sponsors, so I won't post a link, even though they are the only ones selling such a product as far as I know.

I have the UE pins, it seemed to help for awhile and then got worse again. I'm not talented enough to re-assemble a column and don't want to keep paying someone for a teardown. Jason isn't a sponsor here, btw.

Great idea. I’m looking into doing this repair. Does anyone know the ideal length for the 3/8 bushings?

Also, I realize this is an old thread but this is the only “fix” I’ve saw for this problem versus being only a bandaid.
