ls6 intake

just bought a used ls6 intake, it has a lot of oil on it, what is the best way to clean the plastic, brake cleaner will prob.turn it white

Try gasoline on a small portion to test it. If that is too harsh simple green works well to cut through oil but you'll wanna test it first as always.

It's just oil. Soak it in simple green or Dawn dish washing soap and hot water. Scrub out the passages with a nylon bristle kitchen brush.

guess prob. should take out injectors & fuel rails if i use water

Submerge into some kind of tub or big bucket......with 80% degreaser and 20% water. Let it soak for a couple hours. Then use a toilet brush with a bendable handle to clean each runner. Then rinse the hell out of it and submerge it again in the degreaser mix. Clean runners again, then rinse. That'll do it.

I use Formula 88 degreaser. They sell it at Home Depot and Advance Auto in Florida.......but some states don't have it at those stores.
