my LS1 engine is shaking a little!!!
i got 2002 Z28 LS1 with 17K miles on it. and every time i look at the engine after i start it, the engine never stay still, it would shake a little constantly.
is this happen to all the fbodies cars? or is it something wrong with my z28?
and i also heard a strange clicking-ticking sound from the engine.
any ideas? (this is stock LS1 z28, only intake, thermostat and cutout mods)
thanks for the info. in advance.

shaking
my engine did the same thing as you described and it turned out to be one of my spark plug wires was arching and fouling out. i went through and put some msd wires and ngk plugs on there and it runs as smooth as ever. If your car has the stock wires on it you might consider checkin that out. Your car, having only 17k miles might be something else but it would definitly be something to look into, its not enough to trip the "check engine" light but enough to worry about. I was very relieved that it wasnt something major after it was all said and done, although changing plugs and wires left my engine with a nice coat of knuckle blood. hope this helps

Yeah, that might have something do with it.
Both my old '99 and '02 shoock a little when stock. New plugs and wires didn't help my '99 at all and I still run the stock wires with my '02.
Now with a TR230, I don't have to worry about my drink in the cup holder becoming unstirred.

thanks for the info yall.
i bought the car brand new from Land Mark Chevy in the end of 2002. after the first 1000 miles, i drive it like a ****, street race, drag race....with stock LS1
but i take care of my z28 real good, change oil at every 2500 miles, trans oil at 15K miles, alignment.....
the engine shake is not something i really worry about, but the ticking sound it make at idle that i am worry. i will try to get NGK plugs and some wires to see if it help.
under drive pulley and long tubes on the way!!!!!

My whole damn car shakes, thanks to the cam, but I like it
Although I don't think the spark plugs will cure any ticking noises, be sure not to get some that are too cold for your engine. IE, don't get TR6s!
