Not sure if this is where I should post this, but anyways, I've been wanting to remove power steering from my car completely for a while now. Is there anything special that needs to be done? Or can I just take it off, get a new belt, and be done with it? Thanks in advance !

well it definitely isn't as simple as just removing the PS pump and running a new belt, just look at your belt routing, that just couldn't ever work.

You will need a Manual Steering Rack, a power steering delete bracket, belt of proper length and if your car has the power steering cooler (which I believe it should) you will need to do a new radiator hose (from one without the cooler in the line, like the standard ls1 98,99 radiator hose) because you don't want to leave it there where it could then easily leak coolant if it fails.

Edit: retract most of my previous statement just found this thread with most the info you should need
