Default Z28 to SS spoiler conversion - 3rd brake light

need some wiring help.

having my SLP SS spoiler installed and my bodyshop told me the light was DOA, but is the the real problem that i need to install a resistor of some kind for the LED 3rd brake light?

how do the factory SS cars make this work??

should be plug and play.. I wired in a new LED brake light on mine (Z28 replacement) and I didnt need any resistors of any kind.

can i verify the new LED 3rd brake light through the connector to check it for proper operation?

yeah just plug it into the connector on the underside of the hatch and have someone hit the brakes. It should light up..

the resistor is already in the SLP L.E.D. light.

my ss wing has a led, i just wired it to the oem 3rd brake light, no resistors. hmm, oh well, it works and hasnt caught fire yet lol

Ordered a replacement from hawksthird gen.

The only thing that will be affected if you need the resistor is your cruise control. I bought an LED unit off Amazon that was made by Spyder and I had to put a resistor in.
