Which coolant Guys,
Im in the middle of doing a head and cam swap. I went to get some coolant and saw 2 kinds of dexcool.
Do i get the diluted 50/50 or the regular anti freeze 5 yr/100k mile one?
I just wanna make sure i get the right one.

Do you know that a proper mix of anti-freeze should be a 50/50 mix, even if you buy the straight full strength stuff?!?
Even tho the full strength stuff may cost more, ..., once you mix if half/half, ..., the overall cost may be less.
Hope you're not pouring it in full strength & leaving it, ...

like said check the prices. you'll need 3 gallons total of pre-diluted 50/50 stuff... i believe coolant system capacity is about 12 quarts,
otherwise (option b) buy 2 gallons of full strength, then 2 gallons of distilled water which runs about $1 a gallon.
option b will guarantee you have extra coolant, which you may or may not want but you'll need to make sure you mix it right. i generally pour a 1/2 gallon of full strength into the empty radiator, then a half gallon of distilled water, then pour remaining 1/2 gallon of water into antifreeze jug then use that jug from then on and to mix stuff the others 50/50.
also pull your battery, and pull out your coolant recovery tank and clean it out well and make sure the hose from it to the radiator neck is good.
