Steering knuckle replacement.. joint change?

Steering knuckle replacement.. joint change? My steering knuckle on my 2000 Z28 has slack in joints. Does the entire knuckle have to be replaced or can you just swap joints. Does anybody know the joint part number? Whats the best way to fix it? Thanks
I asked a similiar question a while back and never got an answer, everyone always thinks your talking about the rag joint, but we want to know about the U-joints at the top and bottom of the intermittent shaft. this is where the play is at.

the steering knuckle is the component between the upper and lower control arms, held in place by the ball joints, which rotates when you turn your steering wheel and what the front wheel bearing assembly mounts in to.

that is how I "got on" the intermediate shaft.

if he has slop in steering and it's in the intermediate steering shaft cardan joint then shouldn't you just replace that shaft?
he started off by saying, "My steering knuckle on my 2000 Z28 has slack in joints" where I would think joints = ball joints in this context. i don't understand what that had to do with the intermediate steering shaft.
