Reman power steering pump
My power steering pump went out in my Camaro, I replaced it with a reman from O'Reillys and the thing whines(when turning wheel and very faintly when not turning). It doesn't whine until the fluid warms up and its not as loud as my old one, but its still there. I've put about 200 miles on it and it hasn't gotten any quieter. Fluid level is fine so it's not leaking as far I know. My question is should I warranty it and see if I get a better one, put atf in it, or wait and get a new one?

mine's been whining for about a month now,was thinking of the O'Reilly one. The Cardone at Advance has got bad reviews. Summits 'Tuff Stuff' pump isn't the best in reviews.
read in a few places that DexronVI has the ability to quiet a pump, haven't tried it yet.
If I do have to get a replacement, probably gonna try the Turn One #LS1F.

Yeah, I'll just go with the AC Delco pump as soon as I can get it, no sense in trying anything else unless it's an upgrade(like the turnone). Until then I'll just have to deal with this whiny pump lol.

The Turn Ones ARE AC Delco/Delphi pumps, just rebuilt with smaller internal orifices to slow them down a little to prevent over-boiling the reservoir, and to keep the heat of the whole system lower.
GREAT for road racing/autocross, probably overkill for street/drag race use (BTW; I have one because I ONLY do open track/autocross, NO drag racing at all ).

Not a bad idea, as this would let you install the new one, and take it off if you ever have to again, WITHOUT taking the pulley off of the pump (it's also prettier and stronger than the stocker ).

Fry_ - Not sure on that, I haven't heard anything about them. I'll be going with a new one anyway because I don't want problems after replacing it once already lol.

My problem would be that I'm asking for my future LS swap in my Monte Carlo. I will likely start with a truck motor and then piece together a f body belt drive, so I would want a pump that comes complete with reservoir and pulley.

I had my original pump leak on my alt and blew it out. A shop replaced it with a reman and now its doing it again.
So, Im not takin any chances and I orderd an new GM pump & pressure hose. $250 for both but its better than replacing another **** pump AND soaked alt. That blew out.

New question: I have a new ACDelco pump on the way. I'm running atf instead of power steering fluid on my reman. Should I just leave the atf in it and keep running it or flush it and run ps fluid again?

Little late now as you already bought a new pump, but I just got a rebuild kit for my stock pump. Mine was leaking from the front seal. Cost me like $10 and it's good as new. I got the turn one pulley, made new power steering lines to make room for the turbo setup. Much cleaner look now.
