No Cruise / Airbag light on after engine swap
1999 V8 SS
After my build was complete I lost my cruise control, and the airbag light is on. I have done some searching and keep reading that a clock spring is most likely the culprit (likely damaged by rotating the steering wheel beyond normal range while the steering shaft was disconnected).
First - is there any test that can help prove, or disprove the theory? All other column features work (horn, brights, wipers/squirters, signals).
Second - how do I replace this thing? Special tools needed?
Third - Thanks for your help!

I did it on a ford a while back. You have to remove the airbag and wheel to get to the spring then wind it on. Not too bad but idk if it's the same on a Chevy. I would try to find a shop manual. As far as symptoms go the horn also would not work on the ford but idk if that's the same.
Airbag light and no cruise is a pretty safe bet on the clockspring
