Default have to press clutch hard for car to start

I have a 98 ls1 trans am m6, and you have to slam the clutch to the floor really hard to get it to start, is there something worn out, if so what do i do, or can i just bypass were the clutch has to be pressed to start the car.

There's a switch above the clutch pedal that probably needs adjusted. You can turn it like a screw to adjust it.

I replied in your other thread but so anyone who reads this though knows. You cannot adjust the clutch switch to start the car JB is talking about the white cruise switch on the top of the pedal that can be screwed in and out. The switch that starts the car is a black one on the top of the pedal but at the bottom of the pedal travel. It has 2 wires that come out of it but it just clips in place no adjustment

Try a new neutral safety switch. Ours did the same thing. I think the new one was around $13 and very easy to change.
