Default Drive-line Vibration

I am having a drive-line vibration, so lets start with a little about the car.

Year - 1998
Model - Camaro Z28 LS1
Transmission - Auto
Miles - around 150k
Mods - slp intake, headers and full catless exhaust, rear end upgrade (3.73 gears, welded tubes, diff girdle with cap supports, detroit locker), cutouts and tune installed 2 weeks ago by lethal performance in san antonio Texas.

Issue - Earlier that day I drove the car heavy on the freeway while playing with an srt8 challenger. Got a few highway runs in (not racing of course) from about 60-120ish (keep in mind this was a closed freeway). Car was running fine and I went to the bar with some friends. About 3 hours later I get back in the car and drive to another bar 2 miles down the road and never got on the throttle. After hanging out at the second bar for about 1.5hours I leave. As I drive I started to notice a vibration anytime I drove the car over about 2000 rpm's. This continued and got worse all the way home on my 10-15 mile drive. I drove the car the next morning to confirm and the problem still occurs, as i get into moderate rpm range i get a hard vibration. There is no play in drive shaft at diff and some play at drive shaft coming out of the transmission. When I put the car in neutral the vibration seems to go away so it looks like the issue only occurs under load. This is not a small vibration it is very bad. What are your thoughts?

I just drove it again, if I put the automatic transmission in 1st and drive it the vibration get worse the higher the rpm. The car feels like it shifts fine though. Drive shaft, transmission, transmission mount, something else, what are your thoughts?

Maybe new u joints and have the driveshaft balanced

Sounds like the more bars you hit, the worse it get's

Seriously though .... check that transmission mount. Is it the original?

Ok, I found the problem but need a solution. The output or tail shaft has a ton of play. Remember, the transmission shifts good so the issue is strictly in the output shaft having play as it goes into the tail shaft housing. I am not sure what keeps the tail shaft stable inside the tail shaft housing. Can this repair be made on the vehicle? I am hoping I don't have to remove the entire transmission.

Found the issue. What Chevrolet calls the case extension bushing for the output shaft had became dislodged and was freely jumping around the output shaft.

You remove the tail shaft housing and put a new bushing in. Can easily be done with trans in car and housing on a bench of your choice. Fluid will come out so have a pan ready
