No ideas? Rear main seal? Oil pan gasket? Something else?

Could be a combination of all of them.

Reach your hand behind the intake for the OPSU (oil pressure sending unit) is it wet at the base of the threads?

Check the valve covers for seeping at the rear of the engine..

Check the PCV valve that connects into the intake on the passenger side next to the throttle body. Then follow that line to the back of the intake and keep following it till it crosses over to the driverside rear valve cover.

They are really brittle and know to crack behind the intake..

If all those check out fine, then yes I would assume the rear main seal, rear engine cover/oil pan gasket is dripping..

Not much else it could be

I'm in the same boat as you, at one point in time my rear main seal gave out. It became pretty obvious when the problem was the rear main seal. After fixing the seal i am still leaking a bit of oil in the same location as you. Over the past years its looking like the oil pan gasket might be the problem or it could very much be lack of silicone covering the gap between the block and the rear main seal cover at the base where it meets the pan gasket. I notice some oil coming down from the passenger valve cover, towards the rear. Replaced both valve cover gaskets and the oil leak has decreased. I'm getting close to the main problem, i'm shooting for oil pan gasket and add some silicone between the block base and rear main seal cover.

I have a similar leak. Did the oil pan gasket because I had a leak at the front of that. Helped reduced the drips at the back, but not completely. I think its a minor leak from the rear main, but Im not gonna tackle that until I do a converter.

Edit: Why does the site make a link to ebay from oil pan gasket in the post??
