Help Hey to anyone reading this. My 01 ws6 firebird is going to drive me nuts. I can't get it to act right. I keep getting a p1071 and p1074 codes. It runs like crap. I also have a problem with the ignition. Every once in awhile it doesn't want to crank. No ignition no spark no turn over. Nothing at all. But in a dynamic or two it'll crank right up. As with the codes if changed fuel filter, air filter, o2 sensors, plugs, plug wires, coil packs and a mass airflow sensor. I don't know what much else to do. If anyone can shed some light I'd be grateful.

I did a Google search for a different code my car is throwing. This site gave me a lot of things to look for before replacing parts, so here it is for your example: http://repairpal.com/OBD-II-Code-P0171-and-P0174

Wow that explain that I didn't even think about vacuum leaks. I'll check the intake gaskets. But I still can't figure out the ignition problem. And everyone I've asked has no idea either
Not sure what those codes are....you should post what they are.
Sounds like a failing..........Crank Shaft Position sensor.....That causes No start...then start fine...then no start.
Failing O2 sensors will cause it to run crappy.

It has brand new o2 sensors. And it cranks all the time no problem. But once in a blue moon it won't turn over or anything. The gauges come on and radio works but no click no fire. I'll give it a day or two and it cranks right up
When that happens...how long is it dead until it will turn the engine over and start up? If you keep trying the key.....
