Default EGR Valve/Circuit Removal

Hey, guys.

I recently got the P0405 code along with P0430. I can't do anything about the cat, but I figured the EGR value is something I might be able to take apart myself to service. Would anyone happen to know the installments to removing the EGR valve/circuit?

Is there any spray I should try first?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Turn the valve upside down and soak in carburetor cleaner for a couple of days, than blow out with compressed air. The valve is sticking from carbon build up.

I would think that actual throttle body cleaner would do a better job for carbon build up then carb cleaner. Might get quicker results as well.

EGR is a POS, it can be removed and tuned out.
