Default Power steering pump removal

Make sure you have cartboard or a pan too catch the power steering fluid or coolent you might spill.
If your car just has a regluar rad hose you dont need to remove it.
Try sucking up as much fluid from the resivor before taking it out.
Fill up any coolent you may have lost.
Add power steering fluid to new pump and bleed.

This pertains to ls1 on fbodys

if you have a ws6 or factory cooler you have to remove it to get to the ps pump. you will need to remove to two p/s hose the connect to the nipples of the cooler (in picture). and also remove it from the water pump. i left the bottom of the hose still attached to the radiator.

you will need a p/s pully remover from your parts store. i rented it

this is how you will set it up when its in your car

in car. thighten one end while loosening the other. its pretty self explantory when you have it on. it might make poping noises this is normal you are not breaking it

i also replaced the cooler with just a regular rad hose. im going with a air cooled unit

there are 3 bolts that attach the actual pump to the engine. remove pressure line before taking it of

if you are keeping your old reseivor remove it by pulling up on these 2 tabs on each side and sliding it off

this is the install tool

there is a o ring that seals the reseivor dont forget it.
