Broken Handle linkage part
Broken Handle linkage part Does anyone have the part number or an idea of where I can order the little red piece that holds the handle linkage in place?
Mine broke about 2 months ago, and i went in and i added a small ziptie to fix it. It worked for about 3 weeks before it broke again. So now i added a much bigger heavy duty zip tie. Just last it felt like it broke again and i couldnt open the drivers side door.
So im looking for the oem part or a more permanent solution. Any ideas?

So i bought the pack that contained about 6 different ones and none of them seemed like they would last. I tried 3 different ones and they all seemed too tight and not able to rotate freely. So they would twist. I feel like after a while of them twisting so much, its going to snap. I compared it to the red oem piece attached to the key lock linkage, and that one was able to move freely with no twist if that makes any sense.
So ill keep this posted to see how long they last. In the meantime, if someone has the OEM part number i would appreciate it. Thanks

You have the right parts according to Dorman. That kit crosses to the car. I recall that someone else said that the replacements were tight.

yeah, everywhere I look, they look exactly the same. Except they dont look like the oem clips. I shouldve taken a picture of the oem one, its a bit smaller and seems more rigid.
You can tell its too tight because when you open the door from the outside, it takes like 2 seconds for the handle to go back down to its original position. This makes me feel like the clip will eventually break due to the friction. Hopefully im wrong, especially since its not my daily driver, but its still embarrassing when it does happen in public. Time will tell.
