Default inspection cover

want to nail down my oil leak sources, even though my rear main seal w/cover was replaced 2 years ago, not too sure its not acting up again, or if my mechanic didn't fix it right. I heard there is an inspection cover to check and see if the rear main seal could be the culprit, is this it? Thanks

Yes that is it. It is plastic and you can just take a small screw driver and pop it right off.

Must be an automatic transmission? (I don't have that cover.)

I have seen cows with those things, though. This one has a leak, too:

^ Sorry - this is not helpful to the problem, but hopefully its interesting and yoru inspection cover reveals some good news.

Do you think something could be off with your oil filter? I've seen some folks get a similar display of oil when they have had an ill-fitting oil filter or the wrong size used.
