Default HELP! Low idle after new 02 sensor for 0155 code

Tried searching and didn't find any answers, could really use some help on this one! My Trans Am was throwing a 0155 code, for the passenger side bank. But it was running fine. I couldn't tell any problem.

I'm running long tube headers with no cats and had the rear O2s tuned out. When I installed them I used the original sensors with 02 extenders. I assumed that was the problem.

I bought a Bosch 13111 sensor, disconnected the battery and installed it. Now the SES light went off, but the idle is REALLLLY low. It will barely start, and is idling consistently at around 200 rpm.

Any idea why this is or what I need to do to fix it? The only error I can think of is if I accidentally plugged the sensor where the rear one that's tuned out goes, but I'm pretty sure I didn't.

Of course, the car hasn't given me trouble in 10 years until this week, when I need to use ot for a daily. Any advice is appreciated.

Not saying this is the issue with your car......but my PCM will not accept Bosch 02 sensors.......my engine will barely start, and barely keep running.

I put a Denso sensor in and its perfect.

Try the Denso #2344025 16" long wire is plenty for the drivers side.

Disconnect the battery for about 45 minutes and reconnect it again. See if a manual reset of the ecu helps it relearn the new 02 sensor

A buddy of mine has this same problem with Bosch 02 sensors. He has a Chrysler though... Maybe Bosch just makes crappy stuff in general, haha.

I'm running rear C5 corvette 02 sensors from bosch. Never had a problem. However I can recall having to replace them in pairs, if I would just do 1 new one the car would kick a code on for the other a few days later

It seems strange because all of the PCMs out there should be the same....but they are programmable......they are not the same.

Some PCMs decide they do not like the Bosch sensors.....some PCMs are ok with them.

Denso works best for me. Denso is the new GM 02 sensor. They come in an AC Delco box if purchased at the dealerships.

FWIW my buddy (not a car guy) told me the dealer told him that the Bosch sensors would generate like .05v less (more?) than the OEMs and that was the root of the issue with them. Makes sense, but I can't verify it wasn't just the dealer trying to sell his OEM parts...
