Was driving to kfc when i noticed my temp gauge was dead, it dont move at all so is this a common problem with our cars? Figured id ask if there was a quick fix before troubleshooting the system

Hopefully it is not the gauge itself, but this gauge does rely on the coolant temperature sensor. I would suggest looking into this part, but I am surprised that you have not thrown a check engine light if this sensor is bad, the PCM also uses it.
