I have a 99 SS that has had quit a bit of motor work done and it runs great....but when the car sits for a couple hours or overnight when I start it the idle is low and ruff and if I try to move the car it dies and if I try to restart it starts fine but dies ....BUT ....if I turn the key all the way off and restart it it starts fine idles great and it won't do it again until it sets for awhile . I can't for the life of me figure it out ...anyone ever have this problem or know what it could possibly be? I have had the car tuned from a reputable tuner .

Sounds like it's either the fuel pump check valve or the hose inside the tank might have a crack. Try turning the key and leaving it on for about 10 seconds before cranking it and see if that helps. If it does it's probably that check valve on the pump. Also, if you fill the tank and it goes away then comes back when you get down to about a quarter tank it's probably that hose inside the tank.
