Oil 99 z28 SS Hey guys wanted to see if your cars use oil? I'm talking about 1/2 quart or so every 1000 miles. I seem to be adding oil about every 1000 -1500 miles maybe 1/2 to a quart does this seem normal? My car has been rebuilt with pretty healthy cam, 243 heads, injectors and typical upgrades
Mine uses about 1/2 quart every 1000 or so miles. I wouldn't say abnormal but it just depends on things like the type of valley cover used and how the pcv is setup. Also things like bearing clearance are a factor as well
Never really have seen the valve itself go bad. Usually hoses and whatnot. If you suspect in any way that there is an issue I'd just replace. They are like 10 bucks or less
