misfire when wet - no codes or CEL?
I picked up an LQ4 swapped LS1 01 Camaro.
It's been fine but i noticed a bad misfire when the car gets wet during heavy rainfalls. No Check-engine-light and no codes (I have the Torque App and monitored for misfires, nothing came up - and no codes either).
I've done some reading and it seems like common areas to check are the O2 sensor wires, PCM/wires sitting in water in the raintray, and the obvious one of coils/plugs. just looking for some starting points based on my particular situation where it misfired while driving in the rain, and even afterwards for a short amount of time after the roads dried up on the same drive. after the car sat for 4 hrs, i drove home, on dry roads, and it didnt misfire again.
I was going to grab a spray bottle and spray around the coils with a spray bottle and see if i can see some arcing or if the car misfires, but shouldnt i be getting a code if that were to happen?
Thanks for the help.
