Tach not working

Tach not working I just rebuilt my ls1 and put a bigger cam and heads on it. I reinstalled it Sunday and cranked it Monday. My tachometer on the dashboard is not reading anything at all. And Tuesday the car would not shift. Can anyone help me on these 2 problems?
