NOISY LS2 Help please I have a 6.0 LS2 with a noise I cannot find!
Aluminum block w fresh bore
forged pistons ( correct clearance)
Forged rods
Hot Cam
Fast intake
CNC 799's
This combo runs very strong with less than 3000 miles.
I was sure the tapping sound was lifters so I just replaced them all along with double checking push-rod lengths and ordering corrected ( slightly ) lengths.
With the heads off bores were great piston tops were good, valves untouched, valve springs ( new PSI) were fine, couldn't find much other than 2 collapsed lifters. So I thought I was good!
Fired it up and the noise is still there(*@%&@^@*
Seems to originate at the rear of the engine but listening to the block I cant pinpoint it. You can actually feel something if you lay your hand on the intake????
tried to post video but no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.
