A few times now my radio will get louder for a little bit and my speedometer will do a full or almost full sweep. Anyone seen this before? I'm going to swap out the head unit at some point. I haven't yet because I'm worried I'd loose volume until I get an amp. I'm curious if it would cause that to happen with the aftermarket or not. Anyone seen it or got a good guess at what I should be checking and test?

Gauge issues can point to an electrical wiring issue. The only thing I can think of is to open up your fuse blocks and look for anything out of the ordinary or if any fuses need replacing. You could also check all the grounds you can find for tightness.

That is a good point, most of the time when things happen that can't it's backfeed issue from a bad ground. I'll try and check them out.
