Parking light glitch.

Parking light glitch. I have a 1999 Pontiac firebird V6. The left front parking light has been acting up recently. Whenever I turn the headlights on and then proceed to turn them off the left front parkinglight stays on but the right one doesn't. I recently replaced the left front one. The light only turns off when I remove the key from the ignition. Any help would be appreciated.
