P0118 Replaced the coolant tenperature sensor twice and rewired a new pigtail. Gauge reads fine until temp hits 210 and the fans kick on then the idle jumps to 2k and drops to 800. No check gauges light

Started the car up yesterday and got the temp up to 210 and the fans kicked on and idle did not change or go into “safe mode” but I still have the code. Reset the pcm as well. If the problem is fixed how long will it take for the code to go away?
