Dr44 alt
Dr44 alt I have a HO dr44 alt 320a or 400a from Ohio generator that I had running in my my 02 TA. It was mounted low d/s the pos post was rather long and after a time I assume my motor mounts wore down and either I hit a large bump or whatever it touched my p/s line and arced a hole into the line obviously their was some electrical haywireness with shorting. I put the small stock alt back in and rearranged the orientation of the pos post so it won' be near the lines . Now I The HO alt to oreillys to have it tested make sure it' still work he tested it but said it' putting out low voltage 11.3v to be exact....so is it a voltage regulator or the brushes causing this and if it' the regulator what is the specific regulator I need to order to get this thing back running?
